Welcome to the very first FILMS AGAINST THE MACHINE FESTIVAL!

If you produced and/or directed a great film that the other festivals won't dare to show, it's probably a FILM AGAINST THE MACHINE. If, like us, you're tired of seeing the same films over and over, tired of the inevitable Hollywood propaganda and wokism that are now ruling most film festivals, please submit your film!

If you're NOT planning on becoming the next Steven Spielberg, JJ Abrams or Greta Gerwig, but lean more towards the likes of John Carpenter, David Lynch or Stanely Kubrik, FILMS AGAINST THE MACHINE FESTIVAL will be glad to offer you a platform to say what you have to say, but only if you have something to say!

So make sure you'll be able to attend the festival as we really want filmmakers to meet their audience, start a conversation about their work and shine a light over the world we live in.

What matters most is the quality of the films and what the filmmakers have to say, so for the first edition of the festival, we will review any film (short, feature, documentary etc) regardless of its completion date. For example, if you have a film shot in the 90s that has never found distribution because of its sensitive topic, we'll be happy to review it. Just make sure you have the rights to show your film to an audience.

There will be no discrimination and everyone is welcome to submit, regardless of whatever makes us all different. We're all equal before the God of cinema!

Since it is important to us that filmmakers come to present their films in person, if you're selected, please do your best to attend.

In exchange, we'll do our best to help you financially to come and present your work but until we get a full picture of our financial partners, we can't promise anything right now.

This is the beta version of the FILMS AGAINST THE MACHINE FESTIVAL so we reserve the right to make mistakes. As a result, we also reserve the right to change the rules as we get closer to the festival so please keep an eye on our website, or even better, subscribe to www.filmsagainstthemachine.com to get the latest updates in real time.

The festival will take place from October 16th to 19th at the LEGACY THEATER in Flowood, Mississippi.

Yvan Gauthier, established filmmaker in the independent film industry for 30 years, along with wife Jane Gauthier, producer, are the masterminds behind this new kind of festival.

FILMS AGAINST THE MACHINE goes way beyond the usual film festival as it is also a platform that offers different kinds of contents, going from relaying interesting videos or articles that are relevant to the mission, to a collection of shorts and exclusive feature films available in pay-per-view.
